If you want to go full Spice Girls and spice up your life, an official Nando’s festival is coming to town. If you can’t get enough of having a ‘cheeky’ Nando’s, the Portuguese chicken emporium is bringing all our poultry dreams to life.

Coming to London in August, the festival is around for a ‘clucking’ fantastic 18 days. The aptly named Nando’s Yard is flying into Shoreditch and promises to be so much more than your standard Nando’s where customers hog the best sauce.

Appealing to meat eaters, vegetarians, and vegans alike, Nando’s Yard will have more than just PERi-PERi chicken. As well as a whole host of Nando’s favourites on the menu, there will also be cinema screenings and DJ sets.

The official Nando’s Yard description explains: “Of course we’ll be serving up the tastiest Nando’s food, including some extra special new menu options, created exclusively for Nando’s Yard.”

Weirdly, Stefflon Don will be at Nando’s Yard to show off some of her own ingenious menu items she’s made with the Nando’s chefs. Don’s creations include a beanie wrap with pineapple and coconut chutney, or you could try her Mango & Lime PERiniase

Tickets will be on sale from July 15, and fowl fans are told to “keep an eye out”.

Elsewhere, Nando’s Yard has will be showcasing the Nando’s breakfast menu. For those of you who don’t know, Nando’s already does breakfast, but it’s only available at Gatwick Airport and Cobham Service Station.

If you head to either branch though, you can tuck into a plate of breakfast any time before 11 am. Options include the Nando’s Benedict (with chilli jam and PERI-salt), the chicken omelette, and scrambled eggs with fiery beans.

Alongside chicken sausages and a hefty looking Full English Portuguese, there are sweet options like pancakes and porridge. You’ll be pleased to hear that pancakes and French toast come with a jug of maple syrup — well, that’s not very Portuguese.

Nando’s Yard promises you can tuck into your own chicken sausage at the event and there are plenty of surprises on the way. As well as Stefflon Don, Nando’s teases an all-star lineup of celebrity acts. If you can think of anything better than whiling away a scorching summer’s evening with a Nando’s on your lap, I’d like to hear it.
