In latest news, the government has chosen to close all UK schools as of Friday 20 March, and exams in the coming months have been cancelled until further notice.
Education Secretary Gavin Williamson told MPs today that schools will be open on Friday as usual but then will shut “until further notice” for all children – however will still be open for key workers and vulnerable kids.
Prime Minister Boris Johnson has also confirmed that all exams taking place in May and June will be scrapped, with no information as to what to expect yet for rescheduling.
It has been confirmed that the Prime Minister understands parent’s frustrations, and will be putting measures in place to look after workers of all kind, making sure their progress ‘won’t be impeded by the decisions and that their children WILL get the qualifications that they need’.
It will reportedly be done ‘fairly’ and in order to protect their interests.
