Celebs Go Dating Fans Spot Blunder ‘Proving The Show Is Heavily Edited’

Well, this is awkward

More celebrity singletons are looking for love in Season 7 of Celebs Go Dating. However, Channel 4’s hit reality series is being struck with accusations of cheating as some fans spot a blunder that could confirm it’s all faked.

Let’s be honest, Celebs Go Dating is a nice filler while the likes of First Dates and Love Island are off our screens. Basically a hybrid of the two shows, Celebs Go Dating throws together the likes of Megan Barton-Hanson and Jack Fincham.

TOWIE favourites including Lauren Goodger and Chloe Sims are along for the ride, rounded off (weirdly) by Lady Colin Campbell.

It’s up to dating ‘experts’ Paul Carrick Brunson and Anna Williamson to find our ‘slebs their perfect partner, which leads to plenty of hilarity, awkward dates, and sometimes heartache.

The show hasn’t quite reached the heights of Gemma Collins, but some of this year’s contestants are trying to give the GC a run for her money. Barton-Hanson admitted she’d be open to dating men and women on one episode, while Brunson and Williamson set her up on a double date with Goodger.

Fans quickly spotted some dogy editing on August 13’s episode as the camera continued to cut back to Barton-Hanson with completely different hair and make-up. Whoops, look like someone in the editing department might be getting the sack.

Of course, it’s a minefield trying to keep continuity on shows like this. Still, you could’ve at least tried to make Barton-Hanson look the same. The episode ended with Megan calling quits on her short-lived romance with horse breeder Ellie, but fear not, there’s romance on the horizon (warning, spoilers ahead).

The 25-year-old seems pretty loved up with Celebs Go Dating co-star Demi Sims. Meeting on the show, they made their romance official at an ITV summer party on July 17.

An insider confirmed the news to The Sun: “They stepped out last night for the world to see and groped each other, held hands and put on a very touchy-feely display.

“The show hasn’t even aired yet but we know the final result.

“They like each other a lot and it’s the real deal.”

It did scupper the whole point of Celebs Go Dating though: “Of course it’s not the ideal scenario for the Celebs Go Dating bosses as the celebrities aren’t meant to date each other, but it’s happened and they’re not hiding it.”

While we know who Megan and Demi end up with, it doesn’t mean we won’t be tuning in to see what the rest of them get up to as the show continues.
