Corona Are Launching Their First New Beer In 29 Years

It’s been a long wait.

Produced in Mexico, Corona is one of the most iconic and best-selling beers across the globe.

Adding to the already available regular version and carb-cutting Corona Light will be ‘Premier’. It becomes their first new beer in 29 years.

What is it?

It’s being marketed as a lighter option to what is already available. Premier will have 2.6g of carbohydrates and 90 calories.

Regular bottles contain 13g of carbs and 148 calories. The current lighter option has 99 calories and weighs in at 5g of carbs.

How will it taste?

Constellation, the brand behind Corona’s US distributor describes Premier as “perfectly balanced with a touch of sweetness and a clean and pleasantly dry finish.” With an aroma of “fruit-honey with a touch of malt” and that it is “the smoothest, most drinkable Corona.”

Sounds alright.

Constellation have said the new addition will cost the same as their predecessors, but supermarket prices may vary.

The beer has already started rolling out to some retailers and will be sold in both cans and bottles.
