When Drake dropped his new track God’s Plan he shattered single day streaming records, with the song hitting over 14 million plays in one day.
However it was the video that really got people talking. Having a budget of pretty much $1million, instead of shooting anything flashy, he used the money to go around doing good deeds.
From footing the bill for everyone’s shopping in a supermarket, to paying for a student’s scholarship. The music video has only added to the rapper’s insanely popular reputation.
However, the best thing to come from the whole thing? This equally generous and hilarious parody, in which a kind soul goes around handing out McDonald’s to strangers on the street. Complete with a new set of chicken nugget inspired lyrics.
It’s pretty fitting, given the challenge Drake put to his fans after the release of the original video…
“I am not into challenges on IG I find them annoying… but today I am going to challenge everyone to just go out and do something for someone, anything, the smallest thing just to bring another human being some joy and please tag me in it somehow so I can see all the love being spread… you don’t have to play the song in the background or have some hashtag this isn’t about the streams and all the other tactics being used… Just go be kind in any way you can and let’s all watch the world be nice to each other even if it’s for 24 hours… Thank You.”
Surely this guy has accomplished that. We’ve got our fingers crossed for a collaboration in the near future…
