It’s here. The big day. The reckoning.
Greggs is set to roll out delivery via JustEat across the country, starting in Bristol and Birmingham but making its way to every student halls in the country, soon enough.
That means you’ll be able to get a vegan steak bake, sausage roll, chicken bake or any other warm pastry treat of your choice delivered directly to your home.
It’s mouthwatering news, for sure.
Bristol and Birmingham now join Newcastle, Glasgow and one London store (Whitechapel) as the only locations in the country which currently deliver.
It’ll be an exclusive partnership with JustEat, meaning you won’t be able to order the delicious treats via more trendy services like UberEats or Deliveroo.
It follows the successful trial period that took place last year to huge results for the company.
The next cities to get the food delivered will be Manchester, Leeds, Sheffield and Nottingham in the spring – with a national rollout expected by the end of 2020.
Customers can vote for their local area to receive delivery and the rollout plans will be reviewed every few months based on the poll.
Those of us not lucky enough to live in a delivery area yet will have to settle with walking over to the shops and purchasing the goods in person, like the schmucks we are.
