Kicking back in a hammock in the sun, with a cool gin & tonic is the height of relaxation – sadly I’m writing this from Manchester so that’s often nothing more than a pipe-dream.
Still though, Lidl is encouraging us to keep the summer dreams alive with its new £6.99 hammock.
According to the product listing, the hammock has a “large, comfortable surface area for relaxing” and is made of a “sturdy and durable fabric with a high cotton content.”
It comes with everything you need to set up where you see fit – you just need somewhere to attach the suspension loops to.
Budding loungers can choose between a colours, blue, green or brown but be warned, it can only hold one person.
If this particular summer offering doesn’t tickle your fancy, how about this 20ft inflatable party boat?
The eBay product description reads: “Whether you want to ride, play, or lounge, this mega-sized float is right for you. It’s large enough for the whole family–kids and adults will enjoy fun in the sun together. The float includes an inflated rear swim platform with five handles for easy mounting and dismounting, eight cup holders and a built-in cooler. An inflatable bench seat provides comfortable seating for plenty of friends to hang out.”
It continues: “You can use it on land or water, as poolside furniture, on your patio or deck–any location. The simple to use safety valve makes inflating and deflating fast and easy, allowing you to inflate to your desired comfort level. Add more air for more firmness, less air for more softness. The inflatable float is the perfect way to combine big relaxation and big recreation in your backyard swimming pool, lake, bay or even on the lawn.”
Pricing up at £267 if you split the boat between six of you it really isn’t a bad deal. Plus, can you really put a price on luxury?
