Maisie Williams’ New App Is Perfect For Anyone Creative

A very useful idea.

When we picture Maisie Williams we picture the insanely bad*ss Arya Stark calmly reciting the names of her next victims as she plots their downfall.

Turns out that badass is actually a pretty skilled entrepreneur too, as we get our first glimpse of the brand new app that is a co-effort between the Game of Thrones star and film producer Dom Santry.

Dasie will essentially be a social networking site aimed at people already in, or looking to get into the creative industry.

Basically, people who work in film, music, art, fashion or any other creatives will be able to connect with each other and use the app for finding potential work.

Which for anyone who actually works in these kind of industries is a genuine minefield, the prospect of paid creative work is gold dust.

“Connect with creative people like you. Share original content, learn, discover and be inspired to start new conversations. We’re introducing creators from all around the world, to bring new, raw ideas to life, and reignite the spark on old projects. Explore creative work in film, fashion, music, photography, art and literature, interacting directly with the inspirational people breaking grounds at the top of these industries.”

In a statement, Williams said:

“Previous to Daisie, success in the creative industries was wholly dependent on luck and ‘ins’ to the industry,”

“Daisie introduces a new way into the creative world; through connections made organically and the natural development of your skills, propelling individuals to the next level.”

“We’re so excited to facilitate the future of creative collaboration.”

Prior to the launch, the actor took to Twitter to answer a number of questions about how the app would work.

A few months ago Daisy shared a blog documenting her and Dom’s meetings in the build up to the app launching.

Daisy is available on iPhone now and will reportedly arrive on Android at a later date.
