Maura Higgins Lands Her Own Reality Show – Without Curtis

No way!

Love Island star Maura Higgins has landed her very own reality show. However, the guy she’s dating, Curtis Pritchard, will not be part of it.

Maura, who was a fan-favourite on the show after she entered the villa as a bombshell, became a household name with her brilliant catchphrases and energy.

According to The Sun, Higgins will be the focus of her own show as ITV is steering clear of ‘couples reality shows’ over fears they will split prior to airing.

The Irish beauty has already secured a segment on This Morning titled ‘Maura Than Meets the Eye’. It will consist of a series of short films in which she takes on challenges across the country, including pottery and bungee-jumping.

Maura also hosts her own agony aunt style phone-in, where she offers viewers no nonsense advice on their troubles.

“I’m getting flutters about joining This Morning,” she joked “I can’t believe it. It’s beyond my wildest dreams.

“I’ve grown up watching Phillip, Holly, Eamonn, Ruth and the team. Mad to think I’m now part of that iconic family. Can’t wait to crack on.”

This Morning editor Martin Frizell said: “Maura was the stand out star of this year’s villa antics with her straight-talking opinionated views.”

This comes after her partner, Curtis, landed his own role on The Greatest Dancer.

He will be the receptionist on show, which is the first person contestants will see prior to their audition.

The former receptionist was Amelia Wilson, however a source told The Sun: “The BBC and Simon were keen to get involved in the frenzy that is Love Island and thought Curtis went down well with viewers,

“The receptionist role sounds a small one but it’s important first port of call for contestants when they appear on the show and their interactions with Curtis will set them up nicely before they go out in front of the dance captains.”
