Who owns Miley’s heart?

There’s another twist to the tale of Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth in the wake of their high profile split. While the Hollywood megastars have had a complicated on/off relationship for the past 10 years, their marriage lasted for just seven months.

It’s still unclear what happened between the pair, but the latest reports suggest the “Wrecking Ball” singer won’t file for divorce from Hemsworth.

With Cyrus taking a break in Lake Como with Kaitlynn Carter and Hemsworth posting a heartfelt Instagram post about their relationship, it really looks like Splitville for the singing starlet and Hunger Games heartthrob.

However, a source told People that Cyrus and Hemsworth are simply taking a much-needed break. An insider reiterated: “They are having a break right now because they needed it. It was a bad situation with a lot of disagreements.

“They both agreed it’s better to spend time apart, but this doesn’t mean their relationship is completely over.”

Cyrus and Hemsworth rekindled their romance in 2015, so there could be hopes that they should never say never when it comes to making things work this time around. The source added how the young celebs have “been in similar situations” and “found their way back together again”.

They continued: “They are great together when they are happy. There is absolutely hope that they will get back together again.”

Only recently, sources claimed Cyrus fought for the pair to attend marriage counselling, but Hemsworth pulled away.

TMZ maintains, “The 2 were struggling with various issues for months, and she pushed for the 2 of them to go into therapy and took other steps to make their marriage work. As one source put it, ‘He didn’t come close to meeting her half way.’”

The outlet also pointed to a photo back in June where Hemsworth is seen out shopping without his wedding ring. The split was announced over the weekend, with a spokesperson for Miley telling People: “Liam and Miley have agreed to separate at this time.

“Ever-evolving, changing as partners and individuals, they have decided this is what’s best while they both focus on themselves and careers.”

Cyrus and Hemsworth look like they’re set on spending some time reflecting on their marriage for now, but who knows what the future holds?
