Police Share Chilling Phone Call From Former UKIP Councillor Confessing To Wife’s Murder

What. The. Hell.

Former UKIP councillor, Stephen Searle, has been found guilty of murdering his wife at their home in Suffolk.

Obviously tragic news in itself, however Suffolk Police have shared the audio from the phone call in which Searle rang police to confess that he had just killed his wife.

In the clip the former UKIP member appears to be freakishly calm about what he has just done, he even cracks a joke to the emergency operator.

Listen to the chilling clip below.

Stephen Searle denied strangling Anne Searle to death in December last year, after she found out he was having an affair with their son’s partner, Anastasia Pomiateeva.

However jurors at Ipswich Crown Court took only three-and-a-half hours to find him guilty.

Prosecutor Andrew Jackson told the court Searle had likely placed his wife in a choke-hold from his prior military training.

The couple’s son, Stevie Searle, released the following statement after the verdict was announced:

“As you are all well aware, today there has been justice for my mum, Anne Searle. The thing is, this year not only have I lost my mum but my dad as well.

So now all I want to focus on is my family and friends who can help me through this year and more to come.

The part that hurts me the most is I lost my mum but the person who took my mum away was also my best friend, who was my dad.

So now it’s time to focus on my own family and kids and do the best I can for them.”

Just days before her death, Mrs Searle had posted a message on Facebook saying: “Happy Christmas… I hope I will still be here in 2018. We will see.”

A post-mortem examination recorded that Mrs Searle died of compression of the neck.
