Since the astonishing video surfaced of the man now being dubbed “Le Spiderman”, there have been further incredible developments in an already amazing story.
After spotting a child clinging for his life from a fourth floor balcony in Paris, 22-year-old Mamoudou Gassama scaled the side of the building in a matter of seconds to save him.
No description does Gassama’s bravery the justice it deserves, the courage he shows as he tackles the building with no regard for his own safety is astonishing.

Mamoudou, a Malian migrant, has earned praise from all over the world after the heart-stopping video was viewed more than 2 million times.
Now, after meeting with French President, Emmanuel Macron, the hero has been offered a French citizenship, along with a medal for his courage and a role in the fire service.
He told Mr Macron:
“I just didn’t have time to think, I ran across the road to go and save him.”
“I just climbed up and thank God, God helped me. The more I climbed the more I had the courage to climb up higher, that’s it.”
Amongst those to thank him, was the Paris Mayor, Anne Hidalgo, labelling him as an example for all citizens.
