The Bachelor Star Peter Weber Has ‘Freak Accident’ During Filming

A statement has been made by the show’s host.

The latest Bachelor Peter Weber has been ‘in a freak accident’ that took place while they were filming the recent series.

Host Chris Harrison confirmed: “He got a cut on his head, he did get stitches, but he’s 100% OK and production is already back underway. He’s still the dashing, handsome pilot we’ve all dreamed of.”

Weber, a 28-year-old pilot who hails from California, is currently the star of the ABC show’s 24th season. He was reportedly hospitalized and received 22 stitches as a result of his injury, however the statement did not reveal more about how the injury was obtained.

According to Radar Online, Peter’s injury happened on a golf course while he was on location in Costa Rica on Monday, Oct. 7. Sources then further told the Hollywood Reporter that filming continued and Weber had a date on Tuesday, so he must be feeling much better following his accident.

If you think you may recognise Peter, that’s because he came third place on Hannah Brown’s series of The Bachelorette.

Speaking to Ellen DeGeneres following the announcement that he would be the next Bachelor, Peter told the host: “I’m just ready to immerse myself in this journey and hopefully come out with a fiancé in the end.”

Speaking about his time on the Bachelorette, Weber said: “As you watch back the show, you’re reliving it again. And as you’re trying to move on, if it didn’t work out, it kind of brings all those feelings back again,”

“So I was excited to get some closure, close that book, and move on. But I’m always going to have amazing memories with Hannah. She means a ton to me, but I’m ready for this next journey.”

The Bachelor is due to premiere on January 6 2020.
