After ITV pulled an explosive new documentary hours before it was meant to air, a new air date has been announced.
Fred and Rose West: The Real Story with Trevor McDonald was pulled from the schedule due to “legal reasons” leading to it being postponed until a later date.
An ITV representative said: “Broadcast has been postponed for legal reasons and the film will be scheduled for a later date.”
However viewers will be able to see veteran broadcaster Trevor McDonald investigate the infamous couple in just two weeks time.
The Sun reports the documentary will now air on February 21.
Frederick West and Rosemary West were a married couple of serial killers and serial rapists who killed at least a dozen young British girls, including several of their own daughters.
The new documentary, presented by Sir Trevor McDonald will shed new light on the crimes that shocked the nation, the program will reportedly for the first time suggest Rose was actually more violent of the two.
The documentary will also feature exclusive interviews with people who have not spoken before publicly about the serial killings.
Over the course of 20 years the couple tortured, raped, and murdered women, many of them buried beneath the floorboards of their home, on Cromwell Street, Gloucestershire.
The couple were eventually caught by police in 1994, but in January 1995 Fred killed himself before he could stand trial.
Rose was later convicted of ten murders, including that of her daughter – Heather, who was buried under the couple’s garden patio – and sentenced to life in prison.
