The classic kids sitcom Saved By The Bell is back – for a new series with the original cast. Including Mario Lopez as AC Slater and Elizabeth Berkley. as Jessie Spano.
Berkley gave fans on Instagram a sneak peak at the brand new version of the show.
She said “we’re being dropped right back in, it’s like being in a time machine.”
They’re back at the famous diner The Max, where Lopez lets us know that they’ve officially started filming!
“Alright so we just shot our first scene… well not our first scene, more like a promo… we’re having fun right now,” he said.
The cast also revealed that Max, players by Ed Alonzo, will be back for the sequel series as well! He’s not changed up his style very much, just rocking longer hair than we’re used to, but pulls off his look pretty damn well!
The show – in any of it’s many forms – has been off air since 1994. That’s 26 years since the show since it was off air… and 31 years since it started in 1989.
It ran for four seasons before several specials and spin-offs; Hawaiian Style, The College Years, Wedding In Las Vegas and The College Years and the New Class.
The new show is set to debut on NBC’s new streaming service, named Peacock, which is set to be released in April. It is yet to be seen whether Saved By The Bell will premiere with the launch of the service or come out a little later.
