Lunch is sorted, we’re strapped in and ready to go: Subway is giving away free Subs to anyone who plumps for a large cup drink or a bottle of water today.
The company have officially decided today will be National Subway Customer Appreciation Day, a snappy name if we ever heard one.
From 11am to 7pm, the chain will offer the deal at selected stores across the nation.
That means you’ll be able to get any of your normal custom order six-inch subs for just £1.50.
Unfortunately, you can’t game the system and get double meat or extra cheese, but for less than £2, we can’t complain.
The website does not confirm which stores will be carrying the offer, but as the banner says ‘nationwide,’ we can only assume that the majority of us will be able to claim.
The offer includes the brand new Meatless Marinara, which has received glowing reviews since it debuted nationwide last month.
Whilst individual sales have yet to be noted, vegan sales soared across brands in January, with 400,000 noted to join up with the Veganuary charity in the UK in the last four weeks.
KFC said it sold one million Vegan Burgers throughout January, and is set to continue selling them across the country.
Deliveroo said sales of their vegan products rose 76% in the last month.
Deliveroo spokesperson said: “Many of our partners have introduced new vegan dishes to their roster which are now some of the most popular items on their menu, proving veganism is much more than just a fad.”
Whilst Subway haven’t confirmed any statistics, they have explained that sales have been “phenomenal.”
In today’s deal, you can get any cup drink from the machine, including Pepsi and Sprite, or a bottle of water in order to redeem the offer.
As it’s on all day, we might well get our dinner and tea there.
