Nothing beats coming home after a boozy night on the tiles and tucking into a slice of cheesy garlic bread. If you’re feeling even more extra, you could even slather on a bit of garlic mayo. However, your bedroom doesn’t smell quite as great the next morning. If you want to capture that signature scent, you can now get your hands on a cheesy garlic bread diffuser.
By now, you’ve probably tucked into Subway’s cheesy garlic bread. The favourite sandwich chain is rolling out cheesy garlic bread diffusers as a must-have addition to your stockings this year.
Subway has described its latest creation as “the ultimate home accessory you never knew you needed”. A Subway spokesperson said, “Whether you’re throwing a Christmas party or hosting a family roast, the new diffusers will produce cheesy wafts sure to leave an impression on your guests.”
Subway UK director Colin Hughes gushed: “We predict Ultimate Cheesy Garlic Bread could become the scent of 2020!”
Hughes continued, “Our Ultimate Cheesy Garlic Bread is a huge hit with our guests – they can’t get enough of it – so we wanted to find a way to give them more of what they really want.”
For the time being though, you’re stuck with “Winter’s Morn” and “Christmas Spirit”. Subway has created 100 prototypes with the intention of possibly rolling out the diffuser for general sale next year.
Earlier this year, KFC launched a candle that smells like its famous gravy. For those who can’t get enough of that alluring KFC aroma of 11 secret ‘erbs and spices, the Colonel offered a gravy-scented candle to a lucky few.
The official KFC Twitter showcased the candle in all its glory and gave fans chance to win one for themselves.
If you still aren’t convinced, the description should have you licking your lips in anticipation:
“It’s all gravy baby. Nothing beats the sweet, soulful aroma of KFC gravy. So this January, why not fill your home with Finger Lickin’ good vibes thanks to our limited edition KFC Gravy Candle.”
While KFC’s foray into home interiors is like a twisted episode of Changing Rooms combined with Masterchef, it’s a plan that is working. Whether you love or loathe the idea, these candles weren’t around for long. KFC only made 230 candles — which you can’t buy — and they’re a stinking showstopper for your front room. Well, at least you can try and get your cheesy garlic bread diffuser.
