Isolation doesn’t have to mean that you miss out on some of the world’s greatest offerings, and San Diego Zoo has decided to upload live streams of some of their most-loved animals in real time.
Looking at animals can help reduce stress and anxiety, so if you feel that everything going on in the world at the moment is a little bit too heavy, this is definitely a stream you’re going to want to watch. Immerse yourself with the tigers, baboons, polar bears and giraffes (plus many other animals).
The live cameras can be found streaming 24/7 on their website, and as well as live cameras there are also archived footage of previous animals – such as pandas and more.
If you’re looking for more ways to keep yourself busy during this lockdown period, there are many different live streams that offer a range of fun activities – one in particular includes a company who specialise in pub quizzes to their Twitch account every night.
Pub quiz empire Gooses Quizzes were part of those forced to cancel their events due to the current pandemic, but they’ve chosen to bring their popular quiz night’s online at 7PM GMT.
If you want to join in, head on over to their official Twitch channel, and make sure you’ve printed off their quiz sheet (which you can find on their official Facebook page). The quiz sheet changes each night, so make sure you’ve got the right one before you settle down to play!
Twitch also allows you to chat live within the stream, giving you the same sense of feeling you’d have if you were talking to loads of new people in the pub. Better yet, you might even find yourself making some new friends!
Although be warned, if you want to play along with the quiz completely, live streams have the tendency to include a lot of people who give away the answers – so if you’re committed to the quiz and don’t want your answers tampered with, maybe give that part a miss!
